Waiting. It is not attractive word. It seems boring. What if… you were waiting for something that would change your life?

SHABBY APPLE DRESS GIVEAWAY!!!
(via AmandaBeth Online: Shabby Apple “Ski Bop” Dress Giveaway!!!)
- First things first, I’m not against Christmas
- Second, I’ve been reading Mother Teresa
- Third, I’ve been considering that Jesus meant the things He said.
Spend less on gifts, Give more presence, Love like Jesus
A person that insists on bringing you to the airport, parking, walking you in while carrying your bag, and slyly buying you chocolate when you’re in the restroom, embracing you warmly and seeing you off. Floored.
Awww. :)
I have an uncle who is a missionary in Zambia, Africa. He’s informed us that out of the 144 churches he has connections with, only 30 of those have an actual building in which to gather. So what do the other 114 congregations do? They make do. They gather in homes, tents, and sometimes they just gather outside.
And, here we are, gathering in our nice air conditioned/heated buildings. Yet, we complain if it’s too hot or too cold, we complain if the music isn’t to our liking, we complain if someone took our spot on the pew, we complain if the service runs longer than expected—we just complain. Those 144 congregations don’t have any of the luxuries we are so blessed with. 114 of them don’t even have a building. Could you imagine having church with no music? No air or heat? Having only 2x4s held up by cinder blocks as pews? Could you imagine not knowing where it is you’ll be gathering for your next service?
Be grateful, for we are extremely blessed.
Amen and amen! I’m so glad to read something like this. Sometimes I get a tad fed up about how we have to have this or that for decor or comfort in our church buildings. God help us.
What beautiful, beautiful people! Next October, this unreached nation, Laos, may be the “Challenge month” nation for my route on The World Race. And this video breaks my heart and excites me at the same time. Oh, to make known my glorious redeemer to these precious people who have never heard.
If you would like to take part and feel so

When they said they were boarding Group 2 now for Quito, he turned to me and said he didn’t know a word of Spanish.
It doesn’t matter, that’s what I said to the Farmer.
Gratitude is a language you speak with your hands, the way you form the vowels and spaces of your life and we could all learn it together.

Aww… that happy moment when someone posts a beautiful photo and “dedicates” it to you. :) How sweet of you, Jules, it’s a very lovely image. My eyes are almost “unblurring” the sea so I can gaze across the turquoise expanse. *smile*
P.S. Yes, I know “unblurring” is not a word. ;)
